1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lumina (“the Service”), operated by Lumina (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Description of Service
Lumina is a thinking tool for founders who build alone that analyzes written decision descriptions to detect recurring cognitive patterns, biases, and blind spots. The Service provides pattern detection, clarity scoring, and decision-tracking tools.
Lumina does not provide professional psychological, financial, legal, or medical advice. The insights generated are analytical observations based on pattern recognition and should not replace professional judgment.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior, at our sole discretion.
4. Payment Terms
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy.
Lifetime Deal (“LTD”) purchases grant perpetual access to the Service as described at the time of purchase. LTDs are non-refundable after the applicable refund window.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified of price changes affecting their plan.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, pattern detection methodology, and branding, is owned by Lumina and protected by intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the decision data and written content you submit to the Service (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited license to process and analyze it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Aggregated, anonymized pattern data derived from User Content may be used to improve the Service. This data cannot be traced back to any individual user.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
